If you killed a homeless person, and there was no one around, would you turn yourself in? Of corse you didn't mean to do it, but it happened. So tell, or don't tell?

erm i don't understand the relevants of the question, why a homeless person why not just a person?

suppose - cos (although its not true) a homeless person is THOUGHT not to have dependents and thus the same responsibilities and the same "knock on" consequences if they WERE to be killed... NOT THAT I'M PLANNING ANYTHING !!

i think the point here is that, at least in theory, a homeless person is highly unlikely to be missed where as killing a none homeless person, a homed person if you will, is far more likely to have the afore mentioned knock on effect and you'd stand a much greater chance of being caught somewhere down the line.

as to the question itself, i think i'd turn myself in though you never can know until you've been faced with that sort of situation.

I'd turn myself in because i just think that's the right thing to do. and because i don't like guilt.

I guess first question, How do you know that the person was homeless and why should that matter? After all many homeless people are just that, homeless. It doesn’t mean they don’t have families. Second question, How do you know no one else was around? I suppose I am thinking from the standpoint of like I am out in the Country driving or just late night and for what ever reason I accidentally run over someone…homeless or not.. and then what simply take of…?? Some one was bound to get a license plate number even if you thot no one was around…THEN it becomes not only running over someone but also a hit-and-run and with that there goes legal penalties. Also if I run into another they perhaps did not die or rather if the person stopped with medical attention gotten right away might avail with the hit one surviving. In answer to the question, Yes, I would call ambulance/911. To me that is not turning myself in rather doing what I consider to be the right thing to do.

There's not enough story here for me to answer the question properly. Was this homeless person threatening me or were they just caught being homeless. What would motivate me to murder this homeless person anyhow and why would I be foolhardy enough to think I'd get away with it scott free? Maybe he was trying to strand me on a deserted island and make me take only a limited number of books or CDs that I had to choose, yes? Hahaha!
